Affiliate disclosure
DentedValue is free to read. To help pay for it, some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, such as a diminished-value appraisal, a dash cam, or a car seat, we earn a commission. You don't pay anything extra.
- How to spot them. Every affiliate link is marked "(affiliate link)" right next to it. Any page with affiliate links also says so near the top, before the first link.
- Partners don't write or approve our guides. No partner pays to be included, reviews our pages before they're published, or decides what we say about the law. The legal information comes from the official sources we link to.
- How we pick what we mention. We only mention a product or service if we believe it could help a California driver. When we haven't personally tested a product, we say so, and we don't claim results we can't back up.
- No fake or paid reviews. We don't publish made-up reviews or testimonials, and we don't accept payment or free products in exchange for a positive mention. If a company ever gives us a free product to look at, we'll say so on that page.
- You don't have to use them. You can get the same kind of product or service anywhere you like, including from businesses we don't link to.
- We don't sell your claim or your information to partners. See our privacy policy.
We follow the Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 C.F.R. Part 255).
